Limited Edition Pipe Tobacco

As of October 25, 2008, all PCCA blends have been "discontinued" with no new blends being released by us. McClelland will be nationalizing PCCA blends so that they are sold under the McClelland label and available nationwide through established retailers. All "rights" to the blends, their names, designs, artwork, etc. have been turned over to McClelland. I believe this will result in the reintroduction of some older PCCA blends not currently in production, but we'll have to see.

As of late December 2008 the new McClelland blends are showing up in retail shops, note at lower prices due to greater production volume I assume. All questions and inquiries on the new McClelland (old PCCA) blends should be directed to McClelland as I am no longer involved with the development or "profit sharing" of these lines.

PCCA features exclusive custom blends, limited editions and standard lines from McClelland Tobacco Company.

All Pipe Tobacco Orders must use USPS for USA delivery as UPS and FedEx both no longer allow retail tobacco shipments to private buyers.

PCCA Tudor Castle - Vintage 2008

Signature Blend 2007

PCCA Collector Reserve Series of Tobaccos are tinned as "ready to smoke" mixtures, but designed to age. Tudor Castle uses a very high sugar content bright Virginia (yellow) with a good amount of rare Number 1 grade village specific Yenidje, Red Virginia both dark stoved and raw red plus a full amount of barrel aged Louisiana Perique. This is a rare and expensive blend because of the Yenidje, the quality of the Virginias and the real Perique. It is designed to age due to the very high grade bright very high sugar content Virginia leaf. Pressed flake produced in the same vein as Beacon, Tudor Castle has been aged in cakes before its release in mid-December 2007. A very special mixture in very limited numbers as only 340 tins were produced for 2007. 107TDC50G

PCCA Orient 996 - Vintage 2008

Signature Blend 2007

PCCA Collector Reserve Series of Tobaccos are tinned as "ready to smoke" mixtures, but designed to age. Orient 996 uses a very high sugar content bright Virginia (yellow) with aged Red Virginia, a bit of stoved mahogany Red Virginia, add in a good amount of Number 1 grade Yenidje, two other village specific rare leaf oriental tobaccos are used in smaller amounts, plus a nice touch, but not over powering amount, of Syrian Latakia. This is a rare and expensive blend because of the N° 1 grade Orientals (Yenidje, Katerini, Samsun) the Syrian Latakia and because of the high grade bright very high sugar content Virginias. Orient 996 has been aged before its release in December 2007. A very special mixture in very limited numbers as only 318 tins were produced for 2007. 107YVS50G

PCCA Tudor Castle Arcade - Vintage 2008

Signature Blend 2008

PCCA Collector Reserve Series of Tobaccos are tinned as "ready to smoke" mixtures, but designed to age. Tudor Castle Arcade continues the theme we established with the original Tudor Castle and Orient 996 blends using unique and rare Village Specific N°1 grade Orientals, high grade Virginias and condimental leaf. Tudor Castle arcade is similar to the original Tudor Castle as far as using high grade Virginias, natural barrel aged St James Perique, N°1 grade Katerini and Yenidje in a pressed flake. "Arcade" adds a light touch of Syrian Latakia to the cake, the result is complex and unusual.PCCA signature blends are personally hand blended by Mike McNeil of McClelland Tobacco Company in cooperation with PCCA. 508TCA50G

Beacon 2008 Issue - 50 grams

Bright high sugar content Virginia Cake made with lemon yellow and orange Virginia leaf, some dark stoved red Virginia along with a healthy dose of Louisiana Perique. New PCCA Blend for 2009

PCCA "Eufaula 1843"

This is a blend that celebrates Southern heritage and lifestyle. Based on very high grade white burley with a good amount of red Virginia and just a bit of stoved Virginia this is a soft laid back blend that is designed to smoke now. Some tin aging will help wed the mixture and some softening of the Virginia will occur with age, although this mixture is not designed to change as dramatically as most of the other PCCA blends. Natural sweetness, but not too sweet with almost a pecan nuttiness and just enough body to satisfy an easy day. Slightly based on the old Edgewood or State Express Burley blends (no top note or added flavors). Expected run size will be in the 400 tin range. 908EUF50G

Expected release will be 2009
